Vishal joined Arena from the biotech field where he leveraged deep learning, natural language processing, software engineering, and knowledge graphs to streamline drug discovery and other critical processes across the pharma business.

Prior to that, he took up research roles in the biomedical field, first as an undergraduate Research Assistant at the Cullen Laboratory, where he co-authored a peer-reviewed publication, and later as a graduate AI Researcher at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where he combined his background in the biomedical field with a newfound passion for machine learning.

Vishal holds a BSE in Bioengineering and a MSE in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
