Chris brings a background in physics, machine learning, and data science to the team.

While he was an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, Chris conducted experimental research in the Zettl condensed matter physics lab and was a research assistant for the Supernova Cosmology Project at LBNL. More recently, Chris was a Sr. Data Scientist at Acorns, where he built and owned the fraud mitigation system for the company’s checking account product. He also researched and applied modern NLP and predictive modeling techniques to understand and improve customer in-app experience.

Chris also plays saxophone and piano, has soloed in concert halls around the world, and has self-published two albums of instrumental music.

He holds a B.A. in Physics from UC Berkeley where he graduated with High Distinction.
