Berkin brings computer vision and machine learning experience to the team.

During her academic years, she conducted research on various projects including anomalous activity detection in videos, estimation algorithms for optical biomass detection tools, sparse image reconstruction and standard/3D video processing.

After her Ph.D., she worked as a Software Scientist/Algorithm Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific where she developed computer vision and machine learning algorithms for automation and data enhancement for different types of microscopic devices. Prior to joining Arena, she worked at Ditto which was acquired by 1-800 Contacts as a Research Engineer and Director of Research focusing on computer vision and machine learning for augmented reality and recommendations.

Berkin holds a M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Koç University in Turkey, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Boston University.
